I signed up to commons after Leon told me I should and briefed me on the story behind it. Connected my X, was relatively early and found myself amont the top ten, even ahead of Leon. Five vouches and five slashes for each. Sounded like a funny experiment and reminded me of Ethos and early SocialFi days.

Backed by a solid team of people I already knew. Woke up the next day and was around the top ten as a ton of people had vouched for me. The vouches got refilled and I gave them away again, so far zero slashes. Next morning I woke up and for a stupid mood decided to slash a couple of people without any malicious intent or specific reason. People I had never interacted with, whom I thought had farmed the leaderboard.

I stumbled upon an individual that took my slash Michael Jordan style personal and took it to the timeline to call out his followers to slash me. I’d lie if I’d say I expected what was to come. I went to play padel ranked 25th or so and when I came back I was slashed so hard, I found myself next to KookCapital and SBF.

I do not care about the airdrop. I studied psychology and this is one of the most interesting social experiments of this year. Someone built a product with basically likes and dislikes. Everybody likes to be liked, that is human nature.

Receiving a digital dislike from a stranger should not matter much, yet it can trigger some individuals to an extend where they insult you, threaten you and send their followers on a hate trip. Some friends stood up for me vibe coding tools and reaching out to the team. The team responded and said they are looking into it.

I did nothing other then vouch and slash as I thought it was intended. Yet I should have still known better and learned a lesson. Reputation however is not a score determined by an algorithm or a score that can easily be farmed, but rather what people say about you that have known you for years and have seen you in your good and in your bad days.

Reputation however is not a score determined by an algorithm or a score that can easily be farmed.

Reputation is what others speak of you, when you are not in the room and that should not be measured equally. I don’t care what others that don’t know me, speak of me. I do however care what my friends and family think about me. From a marketing perspective this was a banger, gg wp @Slayed_eth.

Enjoy the rest of your week and keep your circle tight.
