Markets & Trading
By StarPlatinum

Now that we already have an introduction and a clear idea of what we want to do after our first chapter, we’re going to talk about the most explored art within the markets, while at the same time one of the hardest to master over time, let’s talk about trading, from the perspective of where we are right now.
Since markets have existed, trading has existed, since ancient times when people literally bartered in the street, human beings have found a way to make money through the simple and mere act of buying something for one value and selling it for another (better if it’s at a higher value).
That hasn’t changed over the centuries, the stock market changed the perception of these markets and I honestly think crypto has had a similar impact, although maybe the current state isn’t for everyone, since we live in the era of the explosion in the number of tokens, where attention is your main ally, let me explain:
Imagine that for a moment we go back to 2016-17, at that time if you wanted to invest you practically had fewer than 50 options, yes, the systems were worse, the simple fact of having a wallet and making a transfer was already more expensive, but if you wanted to invest you had Bitcoin, Ethereum, BNB and very little else that was actually a real option.
The golden era of reading white papers, I remember that when I started in 2021 I was obsessed with that, I could watch hours-long videos of content creators analyzing projects, spend nights reading white papers to make up my mind about whether the asset was worth it or not, I would even take days before finally making a purchase only if I was sure that the asset was worth it. Today everything is much faster.
Today everything is much faster
Where before there were 100 tokens, now we have 100,000, every second that passes new tokens are created, platforms like PumpFun have completely changed the token creation process, before you needed to sell an idea to people because the simple fact of creating a token was already an investment since you needed a developer if you didn’t have the skills, today you can create one with just 2 buttons.
The act of reading or actually being interested in a project no longer exists, not like before, in the time it takes you to make the decision, read about the project (if they even bothered to put anything there) you probably already have 3,897 trenchers ahead of you, and if you take too long, the token has already pumped, died, been buried, next.
We live in the era of maximum attention that has left behind the idea of educating yourself before investing.
At least when it comes to the most popular form of trading right now.
I personally have always had more success with long-term projects, but even that is changing over time, because if you hodl altcoins, there’s a very good chance you’ll come out burned, ask the people who held ADA, DOT or AVAX in 2021…
But even so, bear markets like the one we’re living through (yes, we’re still in a bear, not for much longer but we’re in a bear) always bring unique buying opportunities that in retrospect can be life changing if you play them right.
For me the main one is Bitcoin, I learned the lesson last cycle, Bitcoin is and always will be crypto’s Trojan horse, the day Bitcoin falls the lights go out and the curtain comes down, it will always be the dominant asset and it has proven that in every cycle.
Bitcoin is and always will be crypto’s Trojan horse
That’s how we saw it go from the $20,000 area to an ATH of $126,000. A 6x, it may seem normal or even small compared to the Xs we see in the trenches, but imagine a 6x on the safest asset in all of crypto, I don’t know, I regret not putting the house on it that winter of 2022.
The thing is that this cycle Bitcoin has become my biggest bag, from the 60k area with an average price of 63k and a minimum Bitcoin price touched around the $56k area I think that even if the only thing it can offer me heading into the next bull market is a 2x I’m happy.
Trading isn’t just spending 16 hours a day waiting for a runner to appear, I personally, even though sometimes I do that too, feel more comfortable buying something and being patient.
