NFTs this week: record sales and drama

And while CT was renaming intelligence, NFTs quietly reminded everyone they are still the pulsing heart of crypto culture. Seedphrase’s CryptoPunk #8348, the only Punk with seven traits, moved for 3,000,000 USDC plus an undisclosed sweetener. Super happy for Seedphrase, but also for CT, since it is a bullish sign: NFTs are still here and always will be.

On the Otherside, though (Ah! Got you!), Pransky decided to speak on Bored Ape Yacht Club, literally saying “BAYC ruined NFTs”. While everyone hated on him (yes, I also thought he really went off target with that one), I want to briefly explain his thinking: BAYC ruined the image of NFTs out there, with normies.

I definitely don’t agree with it. I tried to understand it, giving it the benefit of the doubt, but it really was off target.

Bored Ape Yacht Club is a lighthouse for us all, and as long as we have them, we will always be sure that NFTs make sense. NFTs will inevitably take over in an increasingly digital world. So, on behalf of CT, thank you, BAYC. Keep building.

I’ll finish this with the wise words of Garga:

Garga.eth (Greg Solano) @CryptoGarga@pranksy Brother you sold what could have been 500 million dollars worth of apes for a few million and proceeded to shill any dogshit copy pasta you could find

And you founded numerous NFT co’s of your own, all of which have since been removed from your bio

Be the change you want to…
